Sometimes you just want to make people smile
Making people smile is what started this whole crazy adventure. The custard queen and I decided to leave behind jobs in law enforcement and public health to relax on a beach and make people’s days better by scooping them the most delicious frozen treat they had ever have. We left the wet, cold state of Oregon and headed for the beautiful country of Belize.
We spent 4 years in Belize serving our homemade frozen custard to locals and tourists. We were in heaven, unfortunately I had an accident that had us coming back to the states for several surgeries. We made the difficult decision to move our lives back to the US but knew we wanted somewhere warmer than Oregon. And we landed in beautiful East Texas.
The custard queen has returned to healthcare while I have opened Fat Guy Frozen Custard to continue to put smiles on faces. Making incredible frozen custard and getting to visit with customers is a dream come true. I am so indebted to the wonderful people of Van, Texas for welcoming us with open arms.
